Presentation Date:
Tue 15 Nov 16:40 to 17:30
Description:

There are a number of new cybersecurity risks that European utilities must address.

  • These include threats resulting in operational consequences to the respective infrastructure, such as losses in a specific region (cf. the incident in the Ukraine)
  • Liability risks related to new regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GPDR) and NIS Directive.
  • This panel will discuss the various challenges of addressing these risks, examining their importance for energy utilities and the potential solution space. Panelists will be asked to comment on where priorities should be placed for energy utilities to address these new cybersecurity risks.
