Head of Downstream Regulation and Market Design, Corporate Strategy
Andrea Galieti is Head of Downstream Market Design and Regulation at ENGIE. The position, designed in 2015 to support ENGIE’s ambitions in the Energy Transition, covers worldwide a large perimeter of activities, including energy sales and services for final customers.
Prior to this, he served ENGIE as Director for Market Design and Regulation for the energy sales in the Business Unit Europe, as Head of Regulatory Affairs in the Business Unit Italy, and was for several years Vice President in charge of Business Development in Italy and Greece, in charge of developing Renewable and traditional Generation, major natural gas infrastructures and M&A.
Before joining ENGIE, he worked from 2001 to 2005 at the AEEGSI, the Italian independent regulatory authority for electricity, gas and water, acting as representative at the CEER and various international working groups, contributing to the drafting of the rules governing the energy markets in Italy and being Head of the staff of the regulatory Commission.
His professional experience is complemented by several years of working activity in the energy industry at the multinational Montedison Group, as well as at Edison, a major energy player in Italy.
